Summer at the Bender is all about backing fresh talent, and this year we’re giving the juniors the entire stage to themselves. Friday 2nd January from 4-9:30pm. . And yes… this time no oldies are needed onstage. They can cheer, clap and film from the crowd.
Thanks to our legends at Mooloolaba Music, we’ve got a full backline ready to go, so all you need to do is bring your own instrument and your best attitude.
Calling the Coast’s Next Rising Stars
Junior Open Mic Night is your safe, supportive and seriously fun chance to play on a real stage. You get a 20-minute set to show off, test your sound, grow your confidence and bring your mates for the loudest support crew you’ve ever had.
Running 5pm to 9pm, the night is hosted by Kevin, our open mic maestro who handles bookings, set times and keeps the vibe smooth.
We love seeing young bands and rising artists come alive under the lights, and this summer we want even more new faces giving it a crack. So grab your gear, ditch the nerves and step into the spotlight. It’s your turn to shine… while the oldies enjoy being pleasantly sidelined..
